Good government depends on a well informed citizenry that monitors the actions of individuals holding office. Our purpose is to inform members of the Sewall’s Point community about what is going on at town hall. Not everyone has time to attend town meetings where major decisions are made that affect us all.
Not all residents have the time to participate in town meetings which have an effect on our lives and http://www.sewallspoint.info hopes to be the way to inform residents about what is going on. Make sure you are on our mailing list so you do not miss the latest.
All residents are welcome, in fact encouraged to submit content to this site. Your content will be posted anonymously, but we do ask that you include your name and address. We also ask that you cite the source of your content so that it can be properly attributed and not identified as opinion. .
As a courtesy we offer this link to the town website: https://www.sewallspoint.org/ Residents should make themselves familiar with all aspects of the website. The “Agenda & Meetings” tab lists past meeting, with links to agenda items and audio or video of the meetings. It also lists future meetings, so you can attend and express your opinions or remotely submit comments to be read aloud by the Town Clerk
The whole point of government is not to solve all of life’s problems. Instead it should create an atmosphere where people can solve their own problems.
